January’s “Touch of Pit…”

3 Jan

To kick off the new year, our first new “touch of pit” is the wonderful Miss Inwood Sandy.

Sandy was discovered abandoned outside of a popular restaurant in New York City’s Inwood neighborhood – a place called Papasito’s – by our very own Jennifer and some other folks. A local foster parent almost immediately took her in, where she lived with cats, and was able to just chill out for a little while.

Several news outlets picked up Sandy’s story, and before her new foster mom knew it, adoption offers came rolling in from all over. Sandy now lives happily with her new forever family, who live in the same neighborhood after which she is named – Inwood.

Inwood Sandy is a beautiful girl.I recall hearing about her rescue on or around Thanksgiving. Happy she stayed in the area. The neighborhood rescue people are very, very aring. I like the way they always seem to come together quickly in situations like this. Sadly, they are getting alot of experience… Too many dogs abandoned up this way because it is so dog friendly.
