Four Things to Make You Smile Before the Weekend

9 Dec
After a week of browsing Facebook feeds and receiving lots of email blasts about sad stories of homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats, I needed to find some things to make me smile. Hope they make you smile, too!
Cumberland County decided NOT to Ban Adoptions of “Aggressive Breeds”

Thank goodness for the close to 100 animal advocates that attended the county meeting and 60,000 petition signers! The County will now look at adoption checks/policies, investigate illegal breeders and fine abusive and neglectful owners, instead of deeming a group of dogs aggressive and unadoptable.

Ontario Has Finally Woken Up and Will Consider Overturning Ban

Since 2005, grandfathered pitbulls in Ontario have had to wear muzzles in public, be altered and always be on a leash in public. Hopefully, soon, muzzles can be put away and more Canadian pitties will be saved and happier!

Who says Pitties Can’t Dock Dive?

One day, I came across a tribute video to a Pittie named Primo who excelled in both agility and dock diving. What a pro he was! I then viewed the cutest video of Enzo, Primo’s successor, giving diving a try!

What a Patient Pup!

That last photo is a-maz-ing! How in the world is he so patient?! Turk will wait for two treats, one on each paw, max. If I added a chip, he’d lose his mind! 🙂

Lucy doesn’t even know what the word patience means, let alone have it when it comes to any kind of food. We’re amazed by that pup!
